Adopting a good posture is the key to look more attractive, slim, and young. By maintaining a correct position, you will look more elegant, and also it will improve and prevent back or neck pain.
Mirror is your ally
It begins with reviewing your position in front of a mirror, and by taking up the position in which you feel more comfortable. Then you should pay attention to various parts of your body to correct any errors, if found.
Head and neck
Good: Keeping the head a little high and the neck straight. This will not only make the back to stretch and will relax you, but also will keep you safe.
Bad: Keeping the head bowed and neck falling. This will cause tension, which results in pain in the neck and headache.
Shoulders and upper back
Good: Shoulders thrown back slightly and not shrunk, without having rigidity. This will straighten the spine and thorax. Keep arms relaxed.
Bad: Shoulders shrunk and thrown forward. Causes the chest muscles to lose tone and increase discomfort in the shoulder blades.
Back and belly
Good: Pelvis a little ahead keeping tense the abdominal muscles. This will make the waist longer and will avoid curvature of the back.
Bad: Remove belly tonnage as a result of the back.
Buttocks
Good: Buttocks and the weight kept ahead until you feel the centre of gravity on the axis of the body.
Bad: Don’t move buttocks, only get overloaded. This will cause low back discomfort and will result in back pain.
Lower limbs
Good: Knees and toes relaxed and kept parallel and at a distance of one inch. This makes the spine to stretch perfectly which will avoid tension in the spine.
Bad: Knees and feet strained and kept close, or body weight resting on one leg. Tips of the feet turned outwards or inwards, putting stress on the lower back.
Implementation
In order to get used to adopting a correct posture without much effort, you should see your figure in the mirror and correct the flaws in the light of the aforementioned.
To locate and eliminate flaws, remain in that posture for a few seconds, then relax and try to make the correct position. Repeat the sequence several times a day and gradually without realizing it you will end up having the right posture automatically without any effort.
