Believe it or not, the hunky actor Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen the Vampire in the Twilight Series, is afraid of sex scenes.
He confessed about his nervousness during the steamy scenes with Uma Thurman in the movie 'Bel Ami'. Though he maintains that the movie is not a erotic one, its story line requires a lot of sex scenes. He also quips that the sex scenes were disturbing to him. He plays the role of a journalist from Paris, Georges Duroy. The movie is based upon the French author Guy de Maupassant's 19th Century novel 'Bel Ami’. It tells the story of an ex-NCO who rises to power and success in Paris, by sleeping with a series of powerful and wealthy ladies.
Such a story line naturally means Robert gets a lot of steamy scenes. He did them with the other beauties that star in the movie, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas. So that’s a lot to be scared of.
Meanwhile, he also admitted that he is waiting to get the dates for the next movie in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn. He seems pretty flustered with the matter that the dates have not yet been finalized. He is a person who prefers to have things planned out beforehand, and this uncertainty in the dates is not going well with him.
