German car manufacturers Volkswagen and Porche will be integrated into a single consortium. The announcement was made today by Porsche to the shareholders of both companies.
The decision, a step towards the full merger of both companies, had been addressed at a general meeting held by the branches in Stuttgart, Germany.
According to the statement released by Porsche, the ten brands that produce the current Porsche and Volkswagen will maintain its separate characters but will be integrated under a single management.
So what can we expect to change in their line-ups? At the moment, nothing. But we can always hope that VW decides to release their own economically priced version of the Porsche Panamera, Porsche's hottest new automobile.
