Triumph Speed Triple

Triumph Speed TripleThe Speed Triple is the latest from the Triumph stables this time and the Triple part has been tagged with good reason. This bike sure packs a punch when it comes to pulling power and touches the redline with only the throttle itself.

Its plus is its minus as well. It has been built light and given more power and that is its boon as well as bane.

The 1050cc liquid cooled engine does so well and gives you more power that you are taken by surprise if you are not expecting it. So keep that in mind before you open the throttle. The transmission responds well at higher outputs but below the 5000rpm mark it needs some attention. The brakes are what they should be on a speedster like the Speed Triple. A radial master cylinder and calipers took care of bringing the machine to a halt without much scene. The USD forks in front and the rear monoshocks take care of the suspension aspect beautifully. Once you get your settings right then it is just a matter of gliding over bumps and potholes with your Speed Triple!

Being a true sporty, the Speed Triple lets you try all the gimmicks that you can on a bike but keep in mind the power! The dashboard is that of any usual sportsbike. The speedometer, tachometer and odometer, clock, indicators are all well positioned but you do have to maneuver around to get the trip meters to reset.

The wheelbases both in the front and back are the regular Triumph sizes and account for the stability of the Speed Triple. The Arrow exhaust adds to the looks as well as to the spirit of the bike and makes sure that your neighbours are watching out for you! It attracts stares like flies to sugar with both its looks and attitude! But this is no street bike! If you are really a street riding person you have got to be on alert all through and the joy of riding this machine is lost (even if you enjoy the attention!).
