Skoda introduced the new Yeti in Europe a few weeks back, the first SUV of the brand and undisputed representative of its new line of design, a vehicle with a new sleek and impressive look and a captivating front design revealing its own unique style.

The Yeti is the fifth new model of Skoda and incorporates their entry into the growing compact SUV segment. Vitality, environmental compliance, economy and versatility are among the attributes of this compact SUV with its main selling point being a combination of high efficiency and excellent use of interior space.
The new Skoda Yeti presents a stylish, sleek and sturdy design. Particularly it is a versatile vehicle that moves like a fish in water on the pavement and off-road (with its 4X4 traction).

Design
This five-door compact Yeti's light and elegant body lines highlights the true essence of the brand, and ranks as the main design shell of the new image of Skoda. The radiator grille along with the stylish headlights and fog lamps outshine the style of other models in the brand currently, sorry Superb you're going to have to move over.
The already established brand name Skoda is once revitalized in the distinctive features of the profile of the 4.2 metre long Skoda Yeti. The SUV presents a comprehensive interior and a spacious and flexible trunk having a large load capacity of 1,760 litres.
Driving & engine specifications
The introductory model of the Skoda Yeti is being offered with a turbocharged 1.2 litre four-cylinder petrol engine, delivering 105 hp and connected to a four-wheel front drive. Another petrol engine available will be a 1.8 litre 160 hp version. The Yeti would be available in two versions of petrol and three diesels.
The Diesel options would be a 2.0 TDI engine with common rail available in 110, 140 and 170 horsepower. The choice of 110 horsepower will be with an option of front-wheel 2WD or four-wheel drive.
As all the engines fitted to the Skoda Yeti offer very low levels of consumption and CO2 emissions they put this new model at the top of its class without sacrificing in performance. It also offers good stability and agility giving a satisfying driving experience.
We can expect the Skoda Yeti to arrive in Australia as early as February 2010. Prices are yet to be released.
