HP has just officially filed for trademark for the name Palmpad, clearing up rumors that the HP Slate may still utilize the Windows 7 platform. Obviously signaling that their upcoming tablet will feature WebOS, the filing also dismisses earlier reports of the HP-Palm tablet being called the Hurricane.
